How it works
Upload an image and pick a compression level — Maximum for the smallest possible file, Recommended for everyday use, or High to keep quality nearly untouched. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at a lower quality setting; PNG is optimized and, at the more aggressive levels, its color palette is reduced. Files are deleted from our servers automatically after one hour.
FAQ
- Will this ever make my file bigger?
- No — if re-encoding wouldn't actually shrink the file (this can happen with already-optimized images), we hand back the original untouched rather than a larger "compressed" file.
- Does compression change the image format?
- No — a JPG stays a JPG, a PNG stays a PNG. Compression level is applied within the same format.
