- What are PDF bookmarks?
- The clickable outline/table-of-contents panel most PDF viewers show in a sidebar — letting a reader jump straight to a chapter or section instead of scrolling.
- How do I nest a bookmark under another one?
- Use the indent arrow to make it a sub-item of the bookmark directly above it — you can nest as many levels deep as you like.
- What if my PDF has no bookmarks yet?
- You'll start from an empty list — add one for each section you want readers to jump to, pointing at the right page number.
