How it works

Upload a PDF and every page renders as a preview you can draw directly on — click and drag to mark each area you want redacted. Every page is then rendered to an image and the marked areas are filled in solid black before being reassembled into a new PDF, so the underlying text is genuinely destroyed. Both the original and the redacted result are deleted from our servers automatically after one hour.

FAQ

Is this a real redaction, or just a black box on top?

It's real — every page is converted to a flattened image, so the text and data underneath the black box is permanently destroyed, not just visually covered.

Will the rest of the PDF still look the same?

Visually yes, but note the whole document becomes image-based after redaction — text will no longer be selectable or searchable on any page.

How do I mark what to redact?

Click and drag directly on the page preview to draw a box over the content — no coordinates to type in. Click the × on a box to remove it before submitting.
