How it works
Upload a PDF, then choose how to split it: click individual page thumbnails to hand-pick pages, split into equal chunks of every N pages, or split so each output file stays near a target size. A single resulting file downloads directly; multiple files come back as a zip. The original and the result are deleted from our servers automatically after one hour.

- How do I pick which pages to extract?
- Click page thumbnails to select them — each run of consecutive selected pages becomes its own output file. Non-consecutive selections produce multiple files, delivered as a zip.
- What does 'Every N pages' do?
- It splits the document into equal chunks — for example, 3 pages per file turns a 10-page PDF into four files (3, 3, 3, and 1 page).
- How accurate is 'By file size'?
- It's an estimate based on the document's average page size, so actual output files may vary slightly from your target.
- Can I split a password-protected PDF?
- Not directly — unlock the file first with our Unlock PDF tool, then split it.
